Priya Vasudev Mani Iyer, better known by her stage name Priyamani (born 4 June 1984) is an National award winning Indian film actress and model who has appeared in several Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam films. She is best known for earning a National Film Award for Best Actress for her role as Muththazhagu in the 2006 Tamil film Paruthi Veeran, and for her role as Malavika in the 2008 Malayalam film Thirakkatha, for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Malayalam.

Trisha was born and raised in Chennai (then known as Madras) into a Tamil Iyer family,
whose ancestry hailed from the Palakkad region of Kerala.
She completed schooling at the Sacred Heart Matriculation School in Church Park, Chennai,
and later pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) course at the Ethiraj College for Women (Chennai).
She ventured into modeling and appeared in several print and television commercials.
In 1999, she won the "Miss Salem" beauty pageant, and later the same year, the Miss Madras contest.
She had also won the Miss India 2001 pageant's "Beautiful Smile" award.

Trisha had aspired to become a criminal psychologist initially, and resisted the thought of pursuing acting,
as she wanted to complete her studies first. She also appeared in Falguni Pathak's music video Meri Chunar Ud Ud Jaye as Ayesha Takia's friend.
She was later approached for an acting role in Tamil movie Lesa Lesa by Indian film director Priyadarshan,
which marked the beginning of her professional career as an actress.
During her college course, she had occupied herself with a tight shooting schedule,
which made it difficult to continue with her education.
However, she compensated by attending summer classes.

Shilpa Shetty

Shilpa Shetty was born in a traditional close-knit family in Mangalore that hails from the Bunt community.
She is the eldest daughter of Surendra and Sunanda Shetty,
manufacturers of tamper-proof caps for the pharmaceutical industry,
and her native language is Tulu although she speaks several other languages at differing levels,
including English, Marathi, Hindi, Tamil, Gujarati, Telugu, Urdu and basic French.

In Mumbai, she attended St. Anthony Girls' High School in Chembur,
and later attended Podar College in Matunga. A trained Bharatanatyam dancer,
she is also into sports, was the captain of the volleyball team in school,
has earned a black belt in karate and is currently a dancesport expert and enthusiast.

Shetty's younger sister Shamita Shetty is also a Bollywood actress.
They worked together once in the film Fareb (2005).

At 5 ft 8.5 in (178 cm) barefoot,Shilpa Shetty is among the tallest actresses in Bollywood.
It was revealed on 29 March 2009 that Shilpa had purchased a house on St. George's Hill in Surrey,
England with her husband Raj Kundra.
